What is New Factory Reconditioned?

This indicates that the product is NEW and has been reconditioned by the manufacturer.

Here is an example: Hewlett-Packard make a batch of 500 laptops and upon quality control they notice the machines have faulty speakers. Hewlett-Packard then start again by replacing the faulty part with a another part and repackage this as a factory reconditioned model and then sell it on for a reduced rate.

They are not used, they are classified as new factory reconditioned. They come in box with all the standard accessories that you would find with a new product including a manufacturers warranty.
